Abstract:

If You Were Me 2 is an omnibus feature film planned and produced by the National Human Rights Commission of Korean following If You Were Me, made in 2004, in which five film directors participated under the theme of human rights.  If You Were Me 2 is comprised of five short films also concerned with indifference and discrimination towards minorities and other disenfranchised communities, such as north Korean refugees, the physically challenged, "Informal workers," and Chinese-Koreans.

Park Kyung-hee's "Seaside Flower" follows an elementary school student with Down's Syndrome as she struggles to make friends. With Seo Ju-hee and Jeong Eun-hye.

Ryoo Seung-Wan's "Hey Man" portrays a man with prejudices against almost everyone around him.  With Kim Su-yeon.

Jung Ji-Woo's "A Boy With a Knapsack" is a black and white study of the lives of illegal North Korean refugees in Seoul

Jang Jin's "Someone Grateful" makes a point about the abuse of  contract workers in Korea

Kim Dong-Won's documentary short "Jongno, Winter," describes the discrimination faced by Koreans returning to Korea from immigrant communities in China, Russia, and the former Soviet States.
