Abstract:

The director's hometown is an ordinary village in Jiangxi Province.  The youth of the village are heading for the city and the director is anxious that his hometown will be changed to dramatically.  He records precious shots of the village in its four seasons, and then turns to the youth struggling in the city: their worries and joys and how they miss home.  The film tries to explore the meaning of hometown for those being forced by the market economy to look for new opportunities in the city.
