"This expertly produced program offers eight investigative stories that touch on many important global issues while giving valuable insight into various aspects of Indian culture, politics, and economy. Individual segments center around the themes of exploitation of child labor and widespread cycles of poverty while surveying such specific subjects as efforts to curb pollution in the sacred Ganges River, fighting between Indian Army troops and Muslims in Kashmir, the spiritual lives of India's Sikh minority, and Indian women who are trying to gain more personal independence and break free of traditional bonds."
