Abstract:

"The Korean Ameircan Interactive Classroom DVD engages students to learn about migration. It sheds light on the increasingly intense interaction between homeland and new land in a globalizing world. It amplifies the story of a large but perilously anonymous ethnic group. Drawing on the massive work of the two Arirang PBS films of the 2003 Korean American centennial, the DVD provides the classroom teacher or the independent learner with a set of interactive educational tools: *web link to Four Lesson Plans; *One short film keyed to each lesson plan; *Nine interviews with prominent Korean Americans. These interviews total over 90 minutes, taking the viewer inside the struggle to heal Korea and find a place in America." --DVD Container
