Abstract:

Give your students a rare glimpse of a way of life few Westerners have ever seen. Focusing on the North China Plain, an area until recently plagued by floods, droughts, and starvation, this exotic video shows how this area has been transformed, through soil conservation and enrichment programs, into China's rich agriculture base.
