Abstract:

This educational video explores the geography, history, architecture, religion and art of Northern China, concentrating on the area north of the Yangtze River and the cities of Shanghai, Suzhou, Hanghou, Beijing and Xian. Narrated by Martin Sheen, the program explores the historical significance of the area's cultural monuments and ancient artifacts while offering insight into modern-day culture.
