Abstract:

Based on the true story of the Olympic champion Li Yan who won a silver medal for China in the 1992 Olympics. A physically challenged young woman, selected to compete for the national ice-skating team, dreams of winning medals and honor for her country. Through rigorous training that taxes both her mind and body, she methodically and scientifically trains to overcome her disadvantage. Support from her coach and a deep inner strength possess her and propel her through competition despite the pain in her knees.
