Abstract:

12-year-old Yim comes from northeastern Thailand and attends one of the best training camps for boxing. Kickboxing is a very ancient sport; it utilizes feet as well as fists. Yim is trying to become a champion like his brother.  || Part of the Born Winners series, which features the lives of 26 children from around the world who accomplish excellence in specific sports, of their individual cultures. Each child describes the hard work of training, competitions, victories and defeats. We are also invited into their homes, and cities, and meet their family and friends, and learn their values and traditions.
