Abstract:

BOMBAY A flower seller, Anita walks around the city to places that tourists never see. Unfortunately Anita is too poor to attend school. Every day she crosses this enormous city where she meets unusual people of all different social classes and religions. Bombay is a poetic city which is located on the water. This video is part 15 of the 26 part series "I LOVE MY CITY!" which enables children to learn about different cultures by going on exciting journeys of discovery with children who guide them through their everyday life. In each episode, a child introduces his/her surroundings, the architecture, favorite secret places, friends, family and everything that makes up a particular day in that city. In New York or Moscow, in Paris or London, in Hong Kong or Penang, walking around a city through our guide’s eyes becomes an exciting adventure. It is an enchanting way to learn about different cultures around the world. After seeing this series the viewer will feel they "know" each city and family.
