Abstract:

"During the events in Beijing in June 1989, the Chinese government refused to issue visas to journalists. It was for this reason that Alpert and DeLeo, under tourist visas used Hi-band 8mm cameras to look at some reactions of the Chinese to the government's brutal measures. Travelling to three cities in China: Shang Hai, Canton, and Tai Shan, we see various levels of outrage and protest."
