Abstract:

"HOA BINH is a touching and reflective look into the hearts and souls of five Americans who return to Vietnam as part of the Vietnam Veterans Restoration Project. Desiring to heal the wounds of war, the veterans work with their former enemies to rebuild a health clinic for war amputees. The vets openly discuss their 20 years of painful memories, nightmares and guilt. They return to former military zones including My Lai, in part, to "find the souls of lost friends." Throughout their journey they find a thriving society and culture which welcomes them without remorse. Their trip is a healing experience, as the vets let go of their old feelings and learn how to trust again."
